Preparation
- Make the ube milk: Place the whole milk, ube condensed milk, and, optionally (if you want an even stronger ube flavor), the ube extract in a small bowl. Using an electric whisk, whisk together until the mixture combines and turns pink, about 1 minute. Set aside.
- Make the ube cream top: Place the cream and ube condensed milk in a glass. Using an electric whisk, whisk together until the mixture thickens but still is pourable, about 2 minutes. Set aside.
- Make the matcha: Whisk together the hot water and matcha powder in a small bowl until all the large bubbles are dissolved, about 2 minutes.
- Fill a 16-ounce mason jar three-fourths full with ice. Pour in the ube milk. Pour the matcha over the milk, and immediately top the drink to the brim of the glass with the ube cream top. (Any leftover ube cream top may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.) Stir the drink, and serve immediately.
- Enjoy!
